Providence Place at Ingleside in Holyoke, MA, is a 120-unit independent living retirement community sponsored by the Sisters of Providence. We welcome people of all faiths. This retirement community is nestled on a beautiful hillside overlooking the Connecticut River in close proximity to Interstate 91, U.S. Route 5, the Massachusetts Turnpike, and the Holyoke Mall. Our unique and affordable apartments provide residents with a serene environment; and in the spring and summer, our cloister gardens come alive with color.

Welcome to Providence Place!

I want to thank you for your interest in our community at Providence Place at Ingleside. I'd also like to share with you why we are unique among the retirement communities here in the Pioneer Valley.

First of all, we are a non-profit community sponsored by the Sisters of Providence of Holyoke so you have the assurance that we will remain small and independent. With our linkage to the Sisters of Providence Health System (SPHS), we offer our residents tremendous peace of mind by providing them with priority access to SPHS health care programs and services, if needed. We also provide the best dollar-for-dollar value of all the retirement communities in the greater Springfield-Holyoke area. There are no entrance fees and our monthly rent is both affordable and competitive.

Secondly, you'll find that as soon as you enter our doorway you get a sense of the caring spirit that prevails here. True to their history, the Sisters' mission of caring is very evident. The reciprocal hospitality and sincere caring among the Sisters, staff and residents is unequaled. The Sisters are lifetime builders of community and our residents benefit immeasurably. Thirdly, another very important plus here at Providence Place is our splendid chapel. Set in the very center of our community, it is an artistic gem of Byzantine architecture and offers residents the perfect spiritual setting for private reflection and prayer. Daily Mass is also an option.

Fourthly, Providence Place affords our residents a peaceful hilltop campus at a convenient location. We are less than five minutes from two major highways: the Mass Pike crosses the state from east to west and U.S. Route 91 runs north and south.
